Board of Elections Information   7/6/2019

Dear Neighborhood Coordinators,

Vickie Shea sent this to me today.  She remembered that people ere interested in getting information about the Chatham County Board of Elections.  She is amazing.
So, here it is, including where and when their meeitngs are.  I'd like to start going, at least once in a while.  Maybe someone could organize a car pool or a schedule, so there will always be someone there.   Best, Nancy

Robin Hudson is the incumbent Democratic judge running in the primary against two Republicans.

Rebuttal to lies about Justice Hudson

 From the Fearrington Democratic Club:

 Learn why this primary is

a critical judicial election!

Meet Robin Hudson at the Forum

Robin Hudson, a graduate of Yale and UNC Law School, is one of only two Democrats on the seven-member Court of Appeals. Hudson assumed she would be facing a challenge in the general election in November from Judge Eric Levinson, a Republican. But near the end of the filing period, a second opponent emerged, Jeanette Doran. Doran is a former general counsel and executive director at the N.C. Institute for Constitutional Law, a group backed by Art Pope, a leading funder of conservative groups and candidates. This maneuver forces a primary run-off, as only 2 candidates can run in the general election. If Hudson were to receive the fewest votes in this primary,  the choice in November will be between 2 Republicans.

Don't let special interests control our courts!
